Joanne with three litter mates of her breeding at the 2008 DVG Nationals in Florida. Steve Gregalunas with Eli v. Teufelhund, first VPG 3 (on the left), Sue Nesbitt and Erk v. Teufelhund, second VPG 3 (on the right) and Marla Michelsen with Eika v. Teufelhund with a very respectable VPG 1 (91, 80, 92). Quite a litter of Malinois! Note: Steve and Sue are wet from a celebratory dunking in the pool.
Joanne Fleming-Plumb began training dogs in 1980. At that time she acquired her first untitled dog and by the fall of 1981, he was a Schutzhund III.
Since that time she has owned, trained and titled Rottweilers, German Shepherd Dogs, Bouviers and Malinois, including training seven of them from untitled to SchH lll. She has competed and placed with these dogs in National and International events including the 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007 DVG Nationals, the 2001 USA Nationals and has made several trips to Germany representing DVG/LV America.
In recent years, much of her time has been spent coaching such competitors as two time Vice World Sieger, Cathy Jobe with Fratz, and 1999 WDA team member Linda Holste. Many of Joanne's clients compete and place at national level competitions. As well, there are many other people throughout North America and around the world who are enjoying training their dogs in her motivational style. Joanne is the training director for the Working Rottweiler Association of Canada (WRAC).
